In 1985, Elizabeth Nolan, Founder of WDC, was diagnosed with early breast cancer. In her battle to fight this life-threatening disease, Liz realized that part of the struggle was dealing with ill-informed and unsympathetic healthcare professionals who told her to "not worry her pretty little head".
Because of that early detection, and because Liz took control of her treatment and found the right doctors, she is now a 30+-year survivor. Likewise, she was so changed by the experience that she founded the Women's Diagnostic Center. Prior to her retirement in 2015, she devoted much of her time to advocating for the services and research monies that make breast health education and services available to the women in Northeastern Ohio communities.
In 2015, InnovaCare LLC picked up the banner from Liz Nolan and – through our loyal, experienced and caring associates - continue to deliver superior mobile mammography services to the working women and the undeserved population of Northeastern Ohio and surrounding vicinities.
